This natural area offers miles of trails and waterways for hiking, kayaking, walking, and running. Its mix of swamps, rivers, sandhills, and saw palmetto forests makes it a popular spot for birders, photographers, scouts, and anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. Visitors can also explore the Canal Museum, attend events and educational programs like Swamp School, and learn about the site’s history and connection to the Ogeechee River.
