Retha Mae McCoy Park is a welcoming green space on Savannah’s east side. Located at 240 Riverview Drive, the park is named in honor of the longtime resident who brought to life her vision of a park for the children of the community known as Runaway Point. 

Now children of all ages can find rest and recreation at this tidy, handicap accessible park.  A bright and modern playground is surrounded by benches under shady trees, near open-air pavilions with picnic tables and charcoal grills.  Tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer pitches, and baseball fields with bleachers and a bathroom/concession building make this park a great place to play organized sports. A paved multi-purpose track circles the park letting walkers & runners take laps away from traffic and at their own pace.  Four-legged family members are welcome at this family-friendly park, as well. There is no fenced dog park at this park, however, so dogs must remain leashed at all times.

Retha Mae McCoy park opens at 8:00am end remains open until dusk every day. Tennis court hours are from 9:00am until dusk. For reservations for any park amenities, please call in advance : 912-652-6780, weekdays 8:00am-5:00pm.

Pet Policy: Dogs welcomed to accompany their owners in the park if on a leash no longer than 6 feet
