Retha Mae McCoy

Retha Mae McCoy Community Park is a welcoming green space on Savannah’s east side. Located at 240 Riverview Drive, the park is named in honor of longtime resident Retha Mae McCoy, who brought her vision of creating a park for the children of the Runaway Point community to life.

The park includes a playground surrounded by benches under shady trees, a paved multi-purpose track, open-air pavilions with picnic tables and charcoal grills, along with tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer pitches, and baseball fields with bleachers and a bathroom/concession building.

Hours: 8 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week

Pet Policy: Dogs are allowed if on a leash no longer than six feet. Owners must clean up after their dogs and must not leave dogs unattended at any time in or near the park. Pets are not allowed in park buildings, on athletic fields, or courts.

Service Animals: Allowed when serving in a working capacity in accordance with the Revised Americans with Disabilities Act Service Animal Requirements.
