Description
Whitemarsh Nature Preserve is a peaceful escape tucked into the middle of a busy community. The preserve's 2.4-mile paved loop, shaded trails, wooden boardwalks, and towering trees make it a favorite for walkers, runners, dog owners, cyclists, and anyone looking to spend a little time in nature.
Old-growth woods have been cut through with numerous leafy paths marked with curious names like ‘Stardust’ and ‘Sad sack,’ ‘Backyard Bash,’ and ‘Retirement Plan’, not to mention ‘Fart Swamp '.
An overview of the preserve’s trails posted at the Johnny Mercer entrance to the preserve includes a QR code that will allow you to pull up the same map on your cellphone for reference as you go.
Parking is available near the entrance to the preserve.
