Description
The 7,500+ sq. ft. Anderson Cohen Weightlifting Center features Olympic platforms, powerlifting combo racks, free weights, modern strength machines, and fully equipped locker rooms with showers and saunas. The facility is open to all Chatham County residents and supports training for all ages and ability levels.
The Anderson Cohen Weightlifting Center is Chatham County’s premier strength training facility, serving residents through inclusive, professionally coached strength and conditioning programs.

Progressive exercise program for individuals transitioning from physical therapy, designed to maintain and improve strength, mobility, and overall fitness levels.
Adaptive Fitness
Inclusive fitness programming designed to accommodate individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities, supporting safe participation and lifelong physical activity.
Get Excited & Move (G.E.M.)
Movement-based wellness program designed for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and other mobility challenges. The program focuses on improving strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence through guided movement in a supportive group environment.

Facility Guidelines
Check-In:
All members must sign in at the front desk upon arrival.
Lockers:
Lockers are available for member use. Please bring your own lock. Management reserves the right to restrict locker use if necessary.
Prohibited Items & Activities:

No alcohol, drugs, or smoking.

No weapons of any kind.

No photography or video without prior approval.

No personal training for compensation. All training must be conducted by approved staff.

No outside equipment.

No food or beverages in workout areas (clear, spill-proof water bottles only).
Dress Code
Members must wear appropriate athletic attire:

Gym shorts, T-shirts, sweatpants, or athletic wear

Closed-toe athletic shoes required
Please avoid:

Loose or revealing clothing

Dresses or skirts while using equipment

Jewelry such as rings, bracelets, long chains, or lanyards
Use a clean towel to wipe down equipment after use.
